The highly accredited Hospice Renfrew has been providing palliative care to the Upper Ottawa Valley for decades.
However, just as Hospice continues its invaluable service to the public they need an extra hand themselves.
Volunteer and events coordinator Debroah Coelho said anyone interested in helping this foundation directly should consider volunteering.
Coelho said there are lots of positions to be filled with plenty of variety in duties.
Despite currently having more than 50 volunteers helping out with Hospice services, Coelho mentions a few roles they are specifically looking to fill.
She said volunteers are a vital cog in the Hospice Renfrew machine.
Hospice Renfrew, alongside other local organizations, will be attending the upcoming Community Volunteer Fair hosted at the myFM Centre Tuesday Oct. 28.
The event will showcase who in the Valley needs extra volunteers and it’s the perfect stop for those with some spare time to give back to the community.
