Businesses in Renfrew’s downtown core are plotting their roadmap for promoting traffic to them for the rest of the year.
Downtown Renfrew BIA representative Lisa Vincent met with the local Economic Development Advisory Committee on Tuesday morning to provide an update on what was a busy summer along Raglan Street South, including the kickoff of their hit weekly Music in the Square and Heart of Renfrew Market series.
She says the events, which ran next to each other outside Town Hall, were so popular that they’re already tinkering with the format for next year.
Vincent also gave the committee an update on how their next events are shaping up, noting that their Freaky Friday Halloween market and Christmas preparations are in full swing.
She also urges fans of the town’s Craft Beer and Food Truck Festival to stop by their shops on October 4th for goodies like a BIA-branded bottle opener and more.
Local foodies are expected to play a big part in driving businesses into Renfrew’s downtown in-between Halloween and Christmas, as Vincent also points out that the BIA is taking a page from nearby neighbours to highlight the restaurants the main drag has to offer.
Committee Chair Kyle Cybulski added that he’s looking forward to their Freaky Friday event in particular, calling the event “well received” by residents and visitors alike.
