
Garrison Petawawa’s first responders have been called on to respond after part of their training area caught fire.
The Canadian Armed Forces confirm that a fire broke out in the Mattawa plains they use for training back on Thursday, August 21st.
They explain that firefighters from the Garrison responded to the incident, noting that the fire was under control and under active monitoring as of Friday afternoon.
Garrison members have been encouraged to be cautious while in the training area and to report any sightings of fire or smoke to authorities immediately.
