Dust off the drivers and polish those putters, the Hospice Renfrew Classic will be making its annual return this Friday.
This tournament, taking place August 15 with a 12:30 start at Renfrew Golf Club, is an opportunity for the community to not only give back but to have fun while doing so.
Volunteer and Events coordinator Debroah Coelho, said the Hospice Renfrew Classic always makes the community smile.
There is also an included banquet with a raffle for a gazebo and patio set.
Anyone can purchase a ticket for 10 dollars at six locations across Renfrew.
There are also other places around The Valley to purchase a ticket, more information can be found on their website.
In addition to the raffle supporters can purchase a golf ball for 10 dollars to book a spot in the ball drop.
After the tournament concludes purchased golf balls will be dropped from an industrial bucket on the 18th green and whoever’s ball lands closest to the pin will win a grand prize of $2000.
All proceeds from the raffle and golf ball purchases will be put towards Hospice Renfrew funding.
Although team registration is closed Coelho said there are still slots open on teams for individuals to slide into.
However, there is still some available sponsorship space for those looking to make a grand contribution.
