
The team advocating for many small businesses from Arnprior to Pembroke wants their help.
The Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce is set to send a list of outdated rules to the federal government as part of a red-tape review aiming to eliminate redundancy and reduce regulations with provincial duplicates as part of a nationwide attempt to improve service access and delivery.
Government officials have made it clear that they do not want any broad or high-level feedback. Instead, local businesses are being asked to provide specific regulations that have been causing problems, how they affect local businesses, and suggestions on how to fix them as part of an online survey ahead of their August 15th deadline.
The UOV Chamber of Commerce says the movement aligns with long-standing Canadian Chamber priorities as outlined in their All-In Canada Plan and their mandate letter to Prime Minister Carney.
