Two drivers are deceased following a head-on collision near Denbigh, east of Bancroft.
Officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV), Bancroft and Renfrew OPP Detachments responded to the crash on Highway 28 near Trout Lake Road just before 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30th. Brudnell, Lyndoch & Raglan Fire Department (BLRFD) and Renfrew County Paramedics also attended.
Both drivers, who were alone in their vehicles, were pronounced deceased at the scene. Their identities have not yet been confirmed.
Highway 28 remained closed overnight while the investigation was conducted and reopened around 5:30 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing with support from an OPP Collision Reconstructionist and the Technical Collision Investigation Team.
