
A lot of yeoman work went into getting Town of Arnprior facilities damaged in Thursday night’s storm back up and running.
As of Saturday morning, lifeguards have returned to duty at Robert Simpson Park Beach.
Friday afternoon, Town Public Works Staff advised Robert Simpson Park (Park and Beach), the Waterfront Trail and McLean Beach had been restored to public access.
The Albert Street Cemetery and McLean Ball Diamond #2 remain closed until further notice.
Recognizing that some individual property owners also have toppled trees and fallen limbs, Operations Manager John Steckley has informed the Mayor that he is allowing residents to transport larger size limbs and logs to the Municipal Landfill for free over the next several days.
