A stretch of major outages stretching from Barry's Bay to Combermere are among the biggest problems Hydro One is handling today, July 25th.
Hydro One says efforts to restore power to local rural communities could take well into this afternoon or longer.
The power company is currently looking at a handful of larger outages, including 117 customers around Cotton Lake southwest of Renfrew, 247 homes along the Madawaska River between Calabogie and Burnstown, and just over 800 without power between Barry’s Bay and Combermere.
Current estimates have power returning anywhere from noon to 9:00 p.m. this evening.
Hydro One is also looking into a number of isolated outages impacting groups of fewer than 20 residences scattered throughout the county.
