Town of Arnprior to launch a new recreation program aimed at keeping 55+ year-old individuals active and social.
The Older Adults Club was created with assistance from the Seniors Community Grant Program.
The Town of Arnprior received $20,247 to invest in the Older Adults Club.
The new program debuts this September and will run into March 2026 costing $10 per month.
Members will gain an access pass to sports, recreation and social facilities in Arnprior.
Lisa McGee, mayor of Arnprior, said this program will help keep a key demographic active and involved.
“The Town of Arnprior is grateful to the Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility for their generous support in helping launch this new program that provides greater opportunity to keep our older adults physically, mentally and socially active in our community,” McGee said.
Registration and the activity schedule will be released in early August and locals are asked to stay up-to-date on the program through their website.
The Township of McNab/Braeside also received funding for 2025/2026 from the Seniors Community Grant Program.
