Ford is recalling nearly a million cars in Canada and the United States because the low-pressure fuel pump inside the vehicles may fail — and potentially cause an engine stall while driving, increasing crash risks.
Ford plans to send out notification letters to affected owners starting Monday, July 14th, to warn of the safety risk. But officials at Ford say a remedy is still “under development.”
The recall covers:
- Ford Bronco, model years 2021 and 2022.
- Ford Expedition, 2022.
- Ford Explorer, 2021 and 2022.
- Ford F-150, 2021 and 2022.
- Ford F-250 Super Duty, 2021-2023.
- Ford F-350 Super Duty, 2021-2023.
- Ford F-450 Super Duty, 2021-2023.
- Ford F-550 Super Duty, 2021-2023.
- Ford Mustang, 2021 and 2022.
- Ford Police Interceptor Utility, 2021 and 2022.
- Lincoln Navigator, 2021 and 2022.
- Lincoln Aviator, 2021-2023.
