Our local member of provincial parliament is set to make a stop in Killaloe this weekend with a focus on the local art scene.
Billy Denault will appear at the Killaloe Craft and Community Fair site as part of a celebration of Ottawa Valley Community Arts’ recent receipt of an Ontario government grant funding their Art Helps workshop series.
The grant, which is being paid for through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, will help a program that has already brought people from across the Ottawa Valley together to create using natural materials over the past fourteen months.
The notice says Art Helps has played a part in improving mental health and reducing loneliness amongst program participants and facilitators alike.
