A little bit of your help this weekend will go a long way for Special Olympics athletes in our community.
Special Olympics Renfrew is hosting a fundraising golf tournament at Dragonfly Golf Links this Saturday, June 28th, as they look to gather the money needed to send their Renfrew Millionaires softball team to a pair of tournaments as part of next month’s Ontario Provincial Games.
Space is still available online at $150 per golfer ahead of a shotgun start at 11:00 am, which gets players golf with a cart and goodie bag, plus a hot breakfast before the tournament and roast beef and chicken dinner afterwards, over 24 door prizes and another 20 silent auction items, and a chance to meet local OHL stars Kaden McGregor and Kent Greer.
Everyone taking part can also win with a number of on-course competitions held throughout the day, including closest to the hole, putting, longest drive, and hole-in-one.
Non-golfing guests are also welcome to attend for dinner at $20 per person.
