What started as a simple road stop in Renfrew ended up with a chase on foot.
Local police say officers pulled a car over along Lochiel Street South at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, quickly discovering that a passenger in the vehicle was a wanted person.
The 31-year-old suspect from Arnprior fled on foot upon officers attempting an arrest but was outrun and taken into custody after a physical altercation.
They were held for bail for resisting and obstructing a peace officer, as well as failing to comply with a probation order.
