Town staff in Madawaska Valley have issued a firm ask of residents: “Stop vandalism in our community.”
The township is appealing to the public due to ongoing and routine vandalism and litter piling up at the gazebo inside Zurakowski Park, laying out that the costs of the willful damage have had both financial and non-financial costs for the community.
They also point out that the gazebo was built thanks to the hard work and fundraising efforts of local volunteers and that they do have photos of some of the people responsible.
Township staff urge residents to call local police to report vandalism in progress and to call their office at 613-756-2747 if they see anybody damaging or vandalizing municipally owned property.
