The Renfrew Wolves get their first look at their new crop of prospects this weekend as players flock to the myFM Centre.
Not only will General Manager Jerrett DeFazio get to see his first draft class with the team in action over the May 2nd weekend, but he’s also expecting some local and international walk-ons to make their presence known when drills get underway on Friday.
DeFazio and his scouts are hoping to see a revelation on the offensive end of the ice, as their offseason has so far been all about drafting and scouting with a focus on improving a forward core that struggled all year.
He’ll also welcome in a few familiar faces that are expected to make an immediate impact, such as top protection pick Andrew Enright.
While the team is still in what DeFazio and club President Brent Gould have called the start of their three-year plan to contention, the General Manager is hopeful that the foundation they have in place will make the climb back up the standings a little less daunting.
You’ll also have the chance to meet the players and beloved mascot Growler off the ice that weekend as the Wolves join us on the floor of the main rink for the myFM Home, Cottage, and Leisure Show from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2nd, and again from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3rd.
Fans will get exclusive deals on merchandise, learn how they can help with billeting, and grab season passes before the season gets underway. There’s also a chance to win a family season pass for both the Wolves and the Jr. B Timberwolves.
