The St. Joseph's Jaguars Boys Hockey Team at the OFSAA 2025 Provincial Championships in Sudbury
What came close to a perfect season for the St. Joe’s Jaguars seemingly ran out of gas just before the finish line.
The St. Joseph’s High School Varsity Boys hockey team finished second at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations provincial championships in Sudbury on Thursday, as a slow start in their 5-2 finals loss at the hands of Walkerton’s Sacred Heart High School proved too much to come back from.
The loss is the lone blemish on an otherwise sterling season for the Jaguars, who had gone undefeated at the Upper Ottawa Valley “Frozen Four” and Eastern Ontario Championships up to that point.
Jags Forward Kaden McGregor continued to attract attention with a tournament-leading 21 goals and 27 points as the consensus top 10 prospect gets scouted by OHL teams ahead of their April 11th draft.
