This Sunday is expected to be an exciting moment for the Renfrew Timberwolves and club President Brent Gould.
Gould says he is “incredibly proud” of the Junior B team’s hard work and perseverance for clinching first place in the Richardson Division, an achievement that he calls three years in the making.
The result secured the Timberwolves a first-round bye and home-ice advantage in the EOJHL playoffs as they now wait to play the winner of Smiths Falls and Carleton Place on Sunday.
The Timberwolves finished the regular season with a dominant 30-15-2-1 record, earning 63 points over the course of 48 games and securing their best result since the cancelled 2020-21 season.
With the division title secured, Gould says the team wants to use that momentum for a deep postseason run with the Barkley Cup in their sights.
Fans are encouraged to pack the rink and show their support, as the team says to stay tuned for schedule updates and ticket information by following the Renfrew Timberwolves on social media and visiting the team’s official website.
