A community success story was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting Monday at Arnprior Regional Health; the CT Scan which became operational at the Hospital on December 3rd was formally unveiled.
ARH CEO Jeremy Stevenson, says the goal- after having had to send patients afield for many years, was to reach an intake of 500 per month; and, despite it being a month interrupted by a late start and the holiday season, they came oh so close.
Kicking off the celebration, Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP John Yakabuski- on his second to last day in office.
Ben Gardiner, ARHF Executive Director took yesterday’s opportunity to make the major announcement.
The necessary 2-plus million dollar goal could not have been accomplished without the vital role played by the Hospital Auxiliary, according to its president, Maggie Harbert, and her team of 165 volunteers.
Over one-fifth of the necessary money that needed to be raised was raised by the Ladies Auxiliary.
CEO Stevenson thanked the many invited guests, some of whom were principal sponsors of the CT Scan Campaign, before breaking out the cookies- too good to be taken home as souvenirs.
