Four people are facing drug trafficking and other charges after search warrants were executed in Arnprior.
On Jan. 24, four people were arrested and charged without incident.
As part of an ongoing investigation, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), the Emergency Response Team (ERT), and members of the Renfrew Detachment executed two search warrants on Friday, Jan. 24, on Burwash Street in Arnprior.
“A subsequent search of the residence and vehicle revealed nearly 28 grams of suspected cocaine, almost 20 pills of suspected trazadone, over four grams of crack cocaine, and over 210 grams of an unknown white powder (suspected cutting agent),” reads a press release. “Officers also seized a conducted energy weapon (taser), seven cell phones, debt lists, almost $280 in cash, and other items typically associated with drug trafficking.”
Brandon McCallum, 42, from Arnprior was charged with: Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts; Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000; Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose; unauthorized possession of weapon; and Failure to comply with release order – three counts. He was held for bail.
Archie Jolicoeur, 51, from Arnprior was charged with: Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking; Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000; Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose; Unauthorized possession of weapon; and Failure to comply with release order – two counts. He was held for bail.
Tim Bourque, 41, and Courtney Clouthier, 31, from Arnprior, were both charged with: Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking; Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000; Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose; and Unauthorized possession of weapon.
Both of these accused were released and are scheduled to appear in Pembroke court on March 5.
