The Renfrew Wolves turned to a member of staff to bring a solemn tone to an exciting night.
That’s Assistant Coach Hamish Fraser playing Amazing Grace ahead of the Wolves’ game against the Pembroke Lumber Kings on Saturday, which packed over 300 fans into the myFM Centre on Saturday to watch their 3-2 win against the Pembroke Lumber Kings.
The entire night was dedicated to celebrating and honouring the many current armed forces and local legion members who were invited to watch the game for free, including a ceremonial puck drop featuring Sergeant Major Streska and the Legion’s Comrade President Greg Walbeck.
The Wolves will return to action this Friday, November 15th, when they play the Nationals in Rockland. Listen to the action live on 96.1 myFM.
