Anyone in Renfrew looking to clear out their yard before the winter should be ready to go for Tuesday, November 12th.
This is the third and final week that the town is offering free curbside pickup for leaf and yard waste.
Residents are asked to have their yard waste in biodegradable paper bags or bundles no bigger than 5 feet long by 2 feet in diameter at the curb for 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, as pick-up will happen throughout the week and not necessarily during your usual garbage collection date.
For the sake of the town’s garbage collectors, please keep each bag or bundle under 50 pounds. Unbundled waste will not be collected, and anything put out after 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday is not guaranteed to be collected, either.
If you miss out, you can always bring leaf and yard waste at the Bruce Street landfill year-round, free of charge.
The town has an FAQ on yard waste and collection guidelines on their website.
