Renfrew County’s many forests are bustling with activity as deer hunting season is underway.
Local hunters should note that while they are allowed on Renfrew County Forest tracts, the county asks that you avoid areas where active harvest operations are taking place, such as Petznick Lake and Ruby Tracts.
The county also reminds hunters to have the proper licenses and to obey any relevant regulations like seasons, bag limits, and safety precautions.
Only portable or temporary tree stands are permitted, and be sure to wear lots of orange to keep yourself visible to other hunters.
