If you’ve taken a tour down Garden of Eden Road just outside of Renfrew or found yourself on Archibald Street in Braeside, you may have noticed a unique addition to the ‘for sale’ signs on a couple of available properties.
What does the banner across the top of these signs say? NOT HAUNTED.
Jessica Fay, real estate broker for Royal Lepage, says the additions to the signs are some seasonal fun.
“We are quite enthusiastic about the fall market and have developed a creative and unique way to market our listings,” she said. “The ‘not haunted toppers’ are an eye-catching way to bring new interest to our listings. Overall, they have been well received.”
Fay says things have been slowing somewhat, so it’s a good time to boost interes.
“The days on market in Renfrew County have been a bit higher than we have grown accustomed to in the last few years,” she said. “Board stats show approximately 3.5 months of inventory. It’s nothing for a property to sit for 120-plus days.”
She’s happy to tell interested buyers about her listings, including the two ‘not haunted’ properties.
“We have 872 Archibald Street in Braeside that is pre-inspected , not haunted – and ready to close. We also have 263 Garden of Eden Road, which is a solid built three-storey stone home set on 3.7 acres. Also ‘not haunted’!”
