Local police were able to defuse a tense situation over the weekend in Eganville.
OPP spokesperson Bill Dickson explains that a large presence of officers and the canine unit were dispatched to the Eganville area on Saturday, August 17th, to search for an individual who fled from a family dispute call.
The person was brought into custody without incident, and the OPP adds that the initial confrontation did not involve any injuries.
Police will not be releasing any further details due to the nature of the situation.
