Environment Canada has put Renfrew, Arnprior and Calabogie under a rainfall warning ahead of what they expect to be heavy downpours starting tonight.
They say anywhere from 50 to 75 millimeters of rain could drop locally between Thursday evening and Friday afternoon before things begin to dry up on Friday night.
Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and water pooling on roads, and localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
