One person has been displaced as a result of a fire at 112 Carmichael Side Rd. in McNab-Braeside Township.
The township’s Interim Fire Chief Jeff Crawford tells myFM about the Monday morning call for service.
Six vehicles and 14 firefighters responded and crews had a little extra help from some special passersby, says the chief.
Water supply was established quickly and was continuous throughout the entire call, he reported.
Crews worked quickly and efficiently but there was no way to salvage the home.
There were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported, says the chief, and the homeowner was not there at the time of the fire.
Firefighting operations ran smoothly, a testament to the effectiveness of the department’s Monday night training sessions. Water supply and long-lane water supply, particularly useful in this case, have been a focus.
The fire was fully out by about 11:30 a.m.
Chief Crawford thanked all the crew members for their dedication to the township and the public.
