In a recent traffic stop, members of the Killaloe Detachment have charged a driver with a criminal offense. The incident occurred on July 6, 2024, shortly after 11:00 p.m. on 60 Highway in the Township of North Algona Wilberforce.
During the stop, police conducted an investigation which led to the arrest of a 34-year-old from Ottawa.
In addition to the criminal charge, the driver was issued a summons for speeding in violation of the Highway Traffic Act. The vehicle involved in the incident was towed and impounded for a period of 45 days.
They have released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on August 14, 2024, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
