Get ready for the 2024 Tour De Whitewater! This exciting event is scheduled for Saturday, July 13th, so ensure your bike tires are inflated and your helmet is secured.
John Purdon Chair Committee tells myFM that the day will start off with some coffee for the riders then its right into the ride times!
Now in its fifth year, the tour will raise funds for the Westmeath Community Active Living Rest Stop. Last year there was roughly over 400 people who attended this event and Purdon believes this year will see even more participants. Purdon, assured myFM that participant safety is a top priority, with thorough preparations in place.
The start location is 119 Synton Street in Westmeath. First ride starts at 8:00 a.m. which is the 100km ride, 8:30 a.m. is the 50km ride, 9:00 a.m. is the 65km gravel, 9:30 a.m. is the 30km ride and lastly, at 10:00 a.m. is the 10km ride. Following the rides is a BBQ lunch which everyone is welcome too. Purdon addresses the most frequently asked question and provides the answer.
