Renfrew Victoria Hospital says they’ll be working closely with a government-appointed supervisor for the time being.
The Ministry of Health announced late last week that Altaf Stationwala would join the hospital to “strengthen its governance, accountability, and ability to deliver the best possible care” to residents following an independent review related to concerns about financial irregularities.
The hospital has since released a statement saying that their CEO, board of directors, and staff will collaborate with Stationwala to address those concerns.
RVH would also add that Stationwala’s appointment “will not impact the delivery of patient care or services delivered by the hospital and does not reflect on the exceptional patient care provided by our physicians, nurses, and staff each and every day.”
