The Ottawa Valley kicks off the long weekend with some Friday fun in McNab/Braeside.
The township will put safety first at their Summer Safety barbeque at their municipal complex on Russett Drive, with emergency and first responders dropping in to display their vehicles and for a live demonstration from the local fire department.
Plus, locals and visitors get to enjoy a day of free hamburgers and hotdogs, live music, minnow races, face painting, balloons, a petting farm, safety tips from the Arnprior Agricultural Society and Ontario Power Generation, and more!
The free event will run rain or shine this Friday, June 28th, starting at 11:30 a.m. People dropping by are asked to bring along a donation for the local food bank.
