The 911 Swing for the Cause Golf Tournament is a go for this Friday at the Renfrew Golf Club, in support of the Arnprior Food Bank! Enjoy a barbeque lunch before you hit the links for a shotgun start a 1:00 p.m. in a four-person scramble. Space is limited, head to the Renfrew Golf Club website to save your space.
The Valley Has Heart Golf Tournament is this Friday. Enjoy an afternoon of golf at Madawaska Golf Course AND raise money for life-saving equipment. Tickets are $120 each and include 18 holes of golf, bagged lunch, cart, and dinner!
Renfrew Canadian Tire is celebrating Jumpstart Month with a community lunchtime barebeque outside the store this Friday starting at around 11:00 a.m. Stop by for good food, fun and games, and more! Proceeds will help local kids take part in organized sports.
Get Fired Up for a June BBQ, this Friday from 11-1 at the Calabogie Farmers Market, 574 Mill Street, Calabogie. $10 includes a Burger and Fries, a cold water, and an ice cream dessert All proceeds help support essential services for Renfrew Area Seniors and Disabled adults.
The Dance for Maeve is this Saturday night from 7:30 to Midnight at the Renfrew Armouries! Enjoy a music and a DJ, as well as light refreshments and plenty of ways to win as you raise funds to help a young Renfrew girl in her unexpected battle with cancer! Tickets are $10 while available at Pick It Fence Renfrew and Landella Hair Salon.
The Darling White Lake Centre, 236 Cedar Cove Rd, is hosting a Strawberry Social this Saturday from 1-4 p.m. Enjoy some delicious strawberry treats with fellow community members for $10/per adult or $20/family!

LOCAL SPORTS: Support Our Teams!
Dangerously hot and humid conditions are expected for the Ottawa Valley for most of this week, which means some local minor sports leagues may decide to cancel games and practices. Check with your coaches and/or league organizers for updates.
The Renfrew Minor Hockey Association has opened registration up for the 2024-25 season! Head to the RMHA website for more details.
Renfrew Prep Basketball is currently looking for billet families to host their Prep team players (Grades 10 to 12). Host families will be eligible for a monthly allowance per player. Interested families can call 613-570-4165 or email contact@renfrewprep.com.
The Renfrew County Kings Summer Hockey and Sport Camps are running in Renfrew this summer. If your child loves hockey and gym class RCK camps are the place to be August 6-9 for kids born between 2011-13 and August 12-16 for kids born between 2014-16.
