Mark MacKenzie was back in the Mayor’s Chair, and presided over the municipal meeting in McNab-Braeside for the first time since his announced conditional partial withdrawal from executive duties in April.
How or whether that matter was resolved is still being researched, but the session’s 4.5 hour length cannot be pinned on his shoulders.
A lengthy but supposedly topical presentation from Watson and Associates Economists Ltd on an assessment of the Township’s Non-Core Assets went into triple overtime at the start of the meeting.

When the discussion concluded an hour and a quarter after it began, it was clear elected representatives were not satisfied with what they’d heard.
That’s Councillor Kevin Rosien, who mirrored the unanimous frustration with the outdated information shared in the consultant’s very thorough 41 page report.
The Township now faces a looming July 1st deadline to submit its data to Queen’s Park, with a good level of work apparently yet undone to assure it is up-to-date.
