A fresh appearance, modernized technology and an improved floor plan that allows for increased inventory – things have been changing at Canadian Tire in Renfrew.
With an aim to modernize the store, both aesthetically and technologically, the project began in January and is ahead of schedule, says store dealer Chad Murray. So now, it’s time to celebrate – at a grand reopening event planned for this Thursday, May 9.
Murray tells us about some of what’s in store.
“We’ve got some giveaways in the store that we’ll be doing. First 150 customers will be getting a $10 gift card with their purchase. We’ve got a large ‘max stack’ event for earning extra Canadian Tire money so make sure you come in on Thursday to take advantage of the good deals and the extra Canadian Tire money that you can earn by using your Triangle card,” said Murray.
Among the activities will be special deals, more prize giveaways, a Backyard Gourmet barbecue and participation from a local animal rescue animal organization.
“Valley Animal Rescue is going to be here so you can meet them and hear their story and that really fits well with our pet theme that we have at Canadian Tire, we’ve expanded our pet section,” said Murray.
What can customers expect?
“They’re going to see a brighter store, cleaner lines. They’re going to see new, updated decor, which in my opinion looks really good. There’s going to be a change in the layout, which we’re getting used to at the store here as well. So, if you have questions on where things are there’ll be lots of staff here to help out with it.”
He and staff are excited to show off the improvements to customers, old and new.
“We wanted to make these investments for the community so that the community could benefit from a more advanced store – take advantage of some of the new technology out there. We’ve got electronic shelf labels, which are fantastic, for assisting customers find product and allowing us to serve our customers better as well,” said Murray.
