The Kitchissippi-Ottawa Valley Chapter of the Council of Canadians is carrying forward its Earth Day action to Wednesday of next week, at the County of Renfrew’s monthly meeting, according to spokesperson Ann Pohl.
Pohl says the Climate Matters Group will be pressing County of Renfrew to set up its own Committee on Climate and the Environment.
Ann Pohl says the public is welcome to attend and show support.
An electronic petition to the effect is currently being circulated, and the group will present its initial research on an avenue to fund a coordinator for the role, should the County choose to go this route.
