A great opportunity for people looking to put their green thumbs to work gets underway Thursday night.
The Town of Renfrew says their community garden, located at Oddfellows Park on Sidney Avenue, still has a few plots open for people who want to garden but don’t have the space at home.
For a five-dollar registration fee, you will get access to the water and community garden shed available at the park in exchange for planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting what you plant within your 5′ x 10′ plot.
The Town also invites you to learn the basics with a local gardener at their Garden Chat inside the Renfrew Public Library on Thursday, April 18th, at 5:00 p.m.
The night will also feature information about the local Seed Library, guidelines for using the community garden, and a chance to ask questions.
You can also send your questions to the Town of Renfrew’s Programs Team by email or by calling 613-432-4848 x 118.
