May 11th is the local date for the Walk for Dog Guides Event, sponsored by Pet Valu in both Arnprior and Renfrew.
The Arnprior Lions Club is the organizer- on behalf of the Lions Clubs in both communities, and the Walk happens at Robert Simpson Park.
The Walk for Dog Guides is a national event, happening of May 11th or 12th (depending on where you live), and a Silent Auction, which was held locally in conjunction with the Walk last year, has been postponed- according to Arnprior Lions President Bruce Bidgood.
He says a lack of auction item donations is prompting the Lions Club to look at running the Silent Auction for the Dog Guide cause at an at present undetermined date.

The Dog Guide Walk is Saturday May 11th, and will be the topic of an upcoming Community Spotlight.
Register at 11AM and the Walk’s done by 1.
