Bonnechere Excavating Acquires H&H Construction Companies keep opportunities in the Ottawa Valley with purchase and sale
Renfrew, Ontario – Bonnechere Excavating Inc. (BEI) of Renfrew has significantly expanded its company by purchasing the operations of a contracting colleague who has been operating in the region for 76 years, H&H Construction. The deal comes as BEI is looking to grow resources while H&H principals implemented a succession plan to retire from the industry.
“Our companies have worked together on a number of significant projects in the Ottawa Valley over the years,” says Mark Enright, President of Bonnechere Excavating. “We know they run their operation at a high standard, and that made these discussions easy for us. We’re proud to be expanding with their support and keeping this important business in the local area.”
BEI will assume all assets including H&H’s network of pits and quarries, the asphalt plant, the landscape depot, and related buildings. The BEI operation headquarters will remain in Renfrew with all pertinent contact information and key people remaining the same. The non-management employees will be retained.
“Businesses are always changing, and this is just one more change in our history,” says Daniel Hoffman, President. “We have been through this process before and we’re really happy to be in this arrangement with BEI. All of us in the Hoffman family have enjoyed our time at the helm of this business and we are confident that the Ottawa Valley is in good hands with them moving forward.”
Customers can continue to reach out to BEI at their established contact information, while contacts for H&H Construction will be redirected to the BEI personnel in charge.
