A state of normalcy has returned to the Arnprior Library.
Some seven months after a disastrous lower level flood, Library Representative Chris Couper reported to his peers at Council, March 25th.
The Councillor noted the flood’s impact was more than just lost time and inconvenience.
Because of delays in the repairs and estimations of acquiring new inventory, the Library’s annual financial statement is still a work in progress.
Couper says the Library’s March Break programming was well received.
Other items put over due to the flood’s impact are in the process of being rescheduled.
Couper says the Library aims to expand its outreach in two erstwhile unserviced areas.
The Councillor says a non-traditional item of inventory is currently flying off the shelves.
Efforts are underway to obtain more before April 8th, so keep your eye on the Library’s social media.
Couper says the Board’s April meeting will consider ways to complete the Library’s Strategic Plan- including offering a prize incentive for those who complete a survey in that regard.
