It won’t be too long before Renfrew steps up to the plate for baseball season.
However, Renfrew Minor Baseball’s President, Kasia Maves, says there is a fair amount of housekeeping to do before then, including their annual general meeting at the myFM Centre’s Community Hall on February 21st at 7:30 p.m.
You’re invited to drop in and potentially take over a number of positions on the league’s Board of Directors.
Maves says that it doesn’t have to be a seamless transition, as she’s willing to help you learn on the job.
Another of the major items to handle at the general meeting is to adopt a new charter and constitution, replacing the previous one that was lost along with other data as Maves took over as Renfrew Minor Baseball’s president ahead of the previous season.
There are also a number of “nuts-and-bolts” background tasks to take care of, including working on an indoor spring training program over March and April ahead of the first pitch in May.
Registration is on the way and will be available once Renfrew Minor Baseball moves to a new online platform to line up with other baseball programs in the Ottawa Valley. Maves saves time looking for sign-ups to begin ahead of the end of February.
