Whether your on foot, snowmobile, or any other mode of transportation, it’s time to get along on our local trails.
That’s the message from the County of Renfrew, who own both the Algonquin and K & P Recreation Trails.
As snowmobile season continues in the Ottawa Valley, the County has taken to social media to remind residents to respect each other while sharing our local trails, which are for use by both motorized and non-motorized users.
You can do your part by respecting the trails, the adjoining properties, and other users by sticking to the trail and following posted signage and speed limits, including 20 km/h in urban areas.
They also ask anyone who notices missing or damaged signage along the trail to let County staff know. Enforcement of the rules will happen, and charges will be laid if they are broken.
