It was one of the most successful weekends in the history of the Bonnechere Cup in Eganville this past weekend with the Pro Champ division taking center stage. A packed house saw Gunnar Sterne jump out from early in the 15 lap event Sunday afternoon and hold off defending Cup champion Blaine Stephenson for his first win in the event. Behind Stephenson was third place finisher Matt Goede, who had a great Saturday sweeping both the Formula 3 division and the USSA Pro Tour win for the Pro Champs. All three drivers in victory lane said they can’t wait for the 49th Bonnechere Cup, which is already in the works.
