Spring is right around the corner, which means a new season of local sports is almost ready to begin.
The Renfrew Minor Soccer Club says registration is now open through their website until March 15th, taking in local kids of all age groups from Timbits to the youth recreational divisions.
Registration costs range from $100 to $130, depending on the age group, with late registration available until March 31st for an additional fee.
Under 6, 8, 10, and 12 divisions exist each year, but registration data from all of the local soccer clubs is required in order for the Valley United Soccer League to create the divisions for older youth. The process is done each year to ensure everyone who signs up is able to play.
The soccer season will start on Monday, May 13th, for both the Under 6 and Under 8 groups, with the rest of the teams beginning on May 27th.
