Horton Township has some exciting news for local skaters!
The outdoor arena at 1005 Castleford Road is now open, with their first weekly schedule for public and private skating already posted online.
Township staff remind you that sticks and pucks are not allowed on the ice during public skating hours, and posted times are subject to change as rentals will take priority.
Skaters making use of the rink are also encouraged to make a contribution at the nearby donation box or with the rink attendant to help cover the costs of keeping the ice pad open.
The rink closes nightly at 9:00 p.m. unless rented out, with the lights turning off at 9:15.
Ice rentals are available for private skating, hockey, or parties at $75 an hour by calling the township’s recreation department at 613-432-6271.
