If you are one of the lucky one to have already reserved your bowling opportunity at Steelheads and Strikes this week as part of the Arnprior Optimist Winter Carnival, congratulations- the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday availabilities are fully booked and no more are available.
Matt and Alicia Ott, the proprietors of the Bowling Alley on John Street, hosted TV’s Bryan Baeumler and his crew for an introductory episode and a yet-to-be aired reveal show, with a number of months of hard work between.
Steelheads and Strikes renovations were done in concert with the HGTV show, “Bryan’s All In”
Matt Ott says although customers have seen pictures of the upgrades to Steelheads and Strikes online, there’s nothing like guaging the in-person reactions.
While the proprietor says a picture is worth a thousand words, there’s nothing like seeing the new Steelheads and Strikes for yourself.
Matthew Ott says gone now is the “ringing in your ears” patrons used to leave with.
The Steelheads and Strikes proprietor says the labour was all local; what the Baeumler crew helped with was mentoring and materials.
Steelheads and Strikes, the oldest continuously operating bowling lane in Canada, is now the spiffiest and newest around.
All of the opportunities to go bowling during the Carnival have bee booked- and there’s no waiting list, but Steelheads and Strikes is open Tuesday through Sunday and offers one hour lane reservations online for parties up to six bowlers for $45.20.
