It’s a little later than usual this year, but that’s not hampering the excitement around this year’s Frewfest.
Renfrew’s traditional winter carnival will feature three days packed with fun, food, and games to delight the community over the Family Day holiday weekend, February 17th to the 19th.
The town’s program specialist, Janyne Fraser, is hoping the weather plays nice for their first events on Saturday, February 17th.
Fraser says that just scratches the surface of what they have in store that weekend, including breakfasts and lunches served hot and fresh by local service groups all three days.
Then, on Family Day Monday, Community Living will host a sledge hockey game right after breakfast at 9:30 a.m., and Fraser is proud to say that they’ve also paired up with the local Junior A hockey team to cap off the event.
The Wolves will join the public for a free skate session immediately after that game.
More details about this year’s Frewfest are expected as we get closer. Fraser is available to answer any question you may have by calling Town Hall at 613-432-4848, ext. 118, or by emailing jfraser@renfrew.ca.
