The Ottawa Valley could be in for its first blast of winter of 2024. Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the region, calling for 10-20cm of snow beginning tomorrow night and continuing into Wednesday. Several hours of freezing rain are possible. The amount of snow will depend on how quickly precipitation changes to ice pellets or freezing rain. The exact track of this weather system is still somewhat uncertain, and as a result, expected snowfall amounts and precipitation types may change. Warnings may be issued as this event draws nearer. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult in some locations. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Be sure to stay with us for the latest.
