Even as some speculate that Jack Frost’s dominance may be a thing of the past, we are entering the season of Winter Carnivals in the Ottawa Valley.
Ottawa Valley Road Trips is a go-to source for many of the celebrations within driving distance, while we have also searched the websites of our county municipalities.
The Arnprior Optimist Winter Carnival begins two weeks of fun activities January 12th (through the 20th).
January 21st sees the debut of Laurentian Valley’s Alice in Winterland event, continuing until the 27th, while Cabin Fever in Petawawa also rolls out that Sunday (January 21st), running through the 29th.
Pakenham’s Frost Festival is celebrated from January 25th to the 29th this year- and Frewfest in Renfrew is now set to run through the Family Day Weekend, February 17th to the 19th.
SnoSpree in Pembroke occurs from January 31st to February 5th.
The Braeside Winter Carnival happens February 3rd.
Deep River’s Winter Carnival takes place February 4th.
The Rankin Carnival is slated for early next month.
Perth celebrates Frost and Fire February 17th- the same day as the White Lake Winter Carnival.
