A late-night blast of snow has left a few area roads unsafe for school buses this morning. According to the Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium, ONLY Zone 4 Madawaska area transportation services are canceled all other areas are open and operating. All schools are OPEN for in-person learning. All other routes are up and running with no delays at this point.
The OPP still reminds drivers to prepare for winter driving conditions this morning. With the holidays approaching there will be many drivers on the roads, the OPP would like drivers to remember these tips when preparing for travel. Slow down and stay in control, have a survival kit in your car, keep windows clear when driving, keep your fuel tank above half so you don’t run out if stranded, and allow extra time for travel.
