It was just a little contribution, but every dollar matters right now for the Gould family.
Renfrew’s Junior A and B hockey teams reportedly took in a couple hundred dollars worth of donations this past weekend for Gouldhaven Dairy Farms, which was lost to a massive fire back on December 1st.
Junior B Timberwolves Coach Jason Gould says he’s been blown away by the support for his family both in and outside of the farming community as they deal with a complete loss of feed and the ongoing displacement of their animals.
He adds that the fact that his junior A counterpart, Ryan Leonard, dedicated this past Sunday’s Timberwolves game to his family was special.
Your next chance to help the Gould family is a benefit in their honour, featuring a silent auction and calf raffle, being held inside the Renfrew Armouries on the evening of Friday, January 12th.
