It might make a great gift for someone looking for a little help with their plants and home garden.
Renfrew’s Town Hall has just a few Food Cycler composters remaining from their ongoing pilot project with Food Cycle Science, which can turn food waste into an odourless, nutrient-rich soil additive in just hours.
Town staff call the countertop appliance a perfect replacement for backyard composting in the winter and note that using it can reduce your environmental footprint.
The Food Cycler pilot project got underway in Renfrew back in 2022, offering a deep discount in exchange for participating residents tracking their usage over a twelve-week period and completing a survey afterwards.
Contact Renfrew Waste Management at 613-432-8166, Ext. 307, or by email at aspringer@renfrew.ca to get yours at 65 percent off of the retail price, $175 plus tax.
